Okay, Ironed Out A Price With The Painter.

The painter called and gave me what I thought was a really reasonable quote. He said, to do everything (see prior post), he would charge $750 including materials except what we already had. That’s really good, don’t you think? If he came in and in one day could get the house ready to put on the market for just $750, I think that’s a deal.

Only problem, we don’t have $750. We have $450 that we made from the garage sale and I have $200 or so stashed away. So, I asked what he’d charge to just do the ceiling in the kitchen/den and the hole in the closet. He said $400. Okay, we can do that…but how long is it going to take us to get everything painted, and we still have to fix up the shower and clear out the garage and move my business inventory out of the bedroom to the garage…hmmm. Okay what if he only did the inside and we did the outside? He said, $625.

Deal.

He said he could come Thursday or Friday, he’d let us know which. So, we have to get things packed up, might as well pack them for moving, right? That’s Wednesday’s project for me.
